Why choose us?
- From elementary onwards, we teach in two languages. In secondary, we add teaching in a third language.
- We choose our teachers carefully. They have to go through several demanding rounds of selection, psychological tests and trial teaching of children.
- Every teacher knows every child and their needs, talents and developmental areas.
- There is a family atmosphere in the school, everyone knows each other and the children have friends across the classes. Parents are welcome to contact the teachers or office at any time with questions and requests.
Sports courses, interest groups and trips...
Extracurricular activities
-
Library
Encouraging reading: reading is key to the development of language skills and in this way the school encourages children to read regularly. Diversity of books: Offering books in different languages broadens children's horizons and prepares them for a multicultural world. Link with parents: Children can borrow books to take home.
-
Interest groups
Each year we offer a wide range of afternoon after-school clubs for children of different ages. These include sports, science, music, education and art clubs. We make sure that the quality of the clubs and teachers is high.
-
Joint trips for all classes
The trips are designed to be as relevant as possible to the topics discussed at school, making them an attractive and educational supplement to regular lessons. Children choose their own trips.
-
Sleepover
Social event: in addition to the educational aspect, these nights are also an opportunity for children to socially integrate and strengthen relationships with their peers.
-
School in nature
Children from elementary and secondary go to the outdoor school every year at the end of May (Monday - Friday). Participation is voluntary and for children who do not go, a program is provided at school. Nature offers endless opportunities for discovery and learning, and in this way children gain hands-on experience.
-
Sports courses
These courses, such as ice skating or inline skating, are designed so that during one week of intensive training, children learn basic techniques or improve their existing skills. The courses are always led by a team of professional coaches. It is possible to rent the necessary equipment for most courses.

Dining at Global Minded
We teach the children at school to eat properly. They get their morning snack between 9:30-10:00 depending on their class schedule. At 12h-13h we have lunch and those who stay in the after-school club or after-school club still have an afternoon snack at 14:30. Weather permitting, we have snack outside in the garden!

When did it all start?
History of our school
We are husband and wife, Lucie and Josef Liška, and we founded Global Minded together. We wanted our 4 children to have the best conditions for their optimal development and to feel at home at school. We believe we have done it.
Our dream has become a reality and we are now happy to take care of:
💡 another 120 children, each of whom we know as our own
💡 an amazing teaching staff who have long been our close friends
💡 and the 16 animals we provide a happy place to live
We put our best into our project. We don't follow templates and do things the way we feel is right. This is what sets us apart from other schools and the reason we look forward to seeing the children every day.

Essential information
They are essential to us. Readiness, high level of education, adaptability, focus, personal development…
We stand behind everything we do for our children. With the best of our knowledge, we work daily to be prepared for the future and for changes that may come unexpectedly. We purposefully expand our children’s skill set while always making sure they feel comfortable. It is important to us that children know they are at home here. That everything is in the best order and that they can feel safe here, both in the physical sense of the word, of course, and in their souls.
Another of the pillars on which our values are based is the teachers. We choose them from several rounds of a very demanding process. They share our beliefs and meet specific criteria. They also undergo psychological tests. In short, we surround ourselves with exceptional people we can trust and rely on.
And in many areas. It is a pleasure and a daily gift for us to seek, find, and develop them in children together with you. We focus on what children are best at. We direct our energy there, and it subsequently grows and grows stronger. We don’t mindlessly try to make up for deficiencies, and we don’t penalize children for performance. We work with the mistake and that’s how we gain experience. The children consult with the teacher throughout the process.
We know well that a talented athlete has a completely different background than a budding chemist. All the teachers know that, and even the cook. Everyone on the team knows all the kids personally, even if they don’t teach a particular student. By the way, there are only eight kids to every teacher. This allows him to give maximum attention to all of them.
How a child expresses himself, what he does well, what he knows, what he likes, what stresses him – this is what has moved us out of traditional schooling, and this is what a truly individual approach means in our eyes.
We notice the development of children, we focus on the details and we live the change. We believe in prevention and work systematically.
We ask the children. All the time.
We’re interested in your opinion, so I’ll create a situation and an environment where you can tell me.
Your opinion counts. You can make a difference.
Education is yours.
The world is yours.
You are not a passive participant, you are a creator. You influence what happens to you.
Children choose their trips, activities, clubs… We respect their choices and are their partners in dialogue, not their superiors or artificial authorities. The feedback from the pupil to the teacher is as important to us as the feedback from the teacher to the pupil.
We are results-oriented and address practical life skills with the children. It’s not just about making the child happy, they need to have an open door to the future. The children here have a very good education and a great attitude from the whole team. The environment is completely bilingual. So bilingual: English-Czech. We do not teach the language, we teach in the language (so-called immersion teaching).
