Cambridge Certification (English)

Global Minded Primary School is an official preparation centre for Cambridge language exams at various levels of proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) from A1 to C2.
These certifications test both general language and specialist areas such as Business English.
They cover all four basic skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. They assess how well students can use the language in real-life situations.
Our students usually take their first English language exams in Grade 6 /level B1 or B2/ and continue in Grades 7 and 8 with additional levels. Students who have been in our care for a long time and have been studying in our school since Grade 1 manage to reach C1 level in Grade 8.
As part of the preparation, an online interface is available to enrolled students with many type tasks focusing on the different areas of the exam.

DELE Certification (Spanish)

At GM, we also allow students to prepare for and take Spanish language exams.
The DELE Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language is an official document certifying the level of Spanish language proficiency, issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.
Students reach A2 level in Year 7 and B1 level in Year 8. Depending on the level of previous knowledge, higher levels may be considered.
Participation in the language examinations is voluntary. The exams are usually held at the end of the school year. We prepare for the exams with students continuously and intensify the preparation 2 months before the exam. Both the DELE Diploma and the Cambridge Certificate have unlimited validity and are discounted by many grammar schools for admissions.

The language exam certificate will help students open doors to education, employment and other opportunities in life.

From the 2020/2021 school year, students have the option of replacing the profile part of the final exam in English /and other languages/ with a Cambridge English certificate at level B1 or higher /e.g. DELE/. This means that it is enough to write the didactic test in the state part of the language exam and apply the language certificate instead of the school part. From level B2 onwards, passing the international exam and the certificate is equivalent to the first level of the national language exam /level B2 = basic level of SJZ, level C1 = general level of SJZ/. The difference between the SJZ and the international certification is the recognition abroad, where the SJZ is valid only within the Czech Republic, while the international certificate is recognized in most countries of the world. On the other hand, SJZ exists for languages for which there is no system of internationally recognised certification.
